My Media Summer
My summer movie would have to be The Parent Trap as some aspects of the film such as the setting, reminded me of my first week to NCS which stands for the National Citizen Service. For my first week of NCS, we were accommodated to stay in Surrey with our Team Leaders and 72 other strangers which I was expected to befriend between the duration of the challenge which was 5 weeks. Nevertheless, I had to stay in a wooden cabin (as seen below in the movie) in the middle of the woods which had neither lights outside or SERVICE can you believe. Honestly I had no clue how i survived that whole week! I decided to watch this movie as it was relatable to my experience.
In this clip it reminded me of how the cabin looked in Surrey and how we all got along...but clearly in The Parent Trap they didn't.

Also, late at night in the cabins my roommates and I would play Black Jack even though we were supposed to be sleeping, but in the end we would all be in trouble for making a ruckus. Apart from being in trouble, playing cards with the girls was really fun and it lead to us communicating with each other and getting to know them in a lighter aspect. The poker scene in the movie definitely reminded me of me and the girls at night and its something I will never forget.
My favourite summer song was Kent Jones - Don't Mind because of the fact I heard it everywhere I went and all my friends would be singing it at NCS, so the song couldn't escape from my head even if it wanted to. The song is my favourite genre - RnB; which I had actually first heard from word of mouth and instantly fell in love with the song as I couldn't stop singing it. However, the only thing that disturbed me about the song...was later hearing my 10 year old sister singing it. Like SERIOUSLY... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8W4AHSviFlY
During the holidays I was obsessed with watching Pretty Little Liars which is a Mystery Drama for both a male and female audience. The TV series was produced from the book series which I actually haven't gotten the chance to read. The target audience is aimed at Teenagers and young adults as it contains a lot of blood and violence in some of the episodes and would not be appropriate for a younger audience.
I have a lot of favourite websites but my all time favourite would have to be Twitter. I could never get bored of it as I can retweet all the hilarious vines and tweets and also see what my friends have tweeted also. I love seeing all the treading hashtags which update me on the latest news and hot gossip around the world, which means I can also socially interact and share this with other people. Twitter is like my own personal blog where I can tweet my own feelings publicly and have my friends or people globally commenting on it, and most of the time creates a lot of humour.
